Garlic Solutions introduces sustainable packaging for its peeled garlic cloves
Garlic Solutions, one of Europe’s largest suppliers of unpeeled and peeled garlic cloves, will switch to new, sustainable packaging from mid-June 2025. The peeled cloves will now be supplied in resealable, 100% recyclable pouch packaging in 500 and 1000 gram sizes. This packaging will be available from week 25 via catering wholesalers. They offer a range of advantages over the previous plastic pots: a longer shelf life (from 21 to at least 45 days),73% less plastic consumption and less waste volume for the end user. The new packaging also improves the quality, freshness and ease of use of the product.
‘We continue to invest in sustainability – including in the area of packaging,’ says owner Kaz Abbekerk. ‘This move to pouch packaging fits in perfectly with our vision of efficient and responsible production.’
In addition to the pouch packaging, the peeled garlic cloves will also continue to be available in bulk packaging, so that customers can choose the right form depending on their application. Garlic Solutions thus remains true to its core values: sustainable, efficient and customer-oriented. All the products are free of additives and pure in taste.
